Simplified version:
There is a terrible torture that we must fight against. It is called Rollkur. Rollkur is a horse torture which eventually kills the horse, it chokes him to death, otherwise, his bones, muscles and tendons snap, and the owner murders him. This dreadful torment is due to the rider, that makes the horse bend the neck so much, that its chin touches the chest. Sometimes, the horse’s tongue becomes blue, from the pressure. The muscle in the air pipe develops to much, and the horse cannot breath. The first rib digs into the lung, causing polmunary edma, (the lung bleeds and the horse dies a slow painful, death.) Let us defeat Rollkur!
To add to that, some riders continue to say that this horrid thing, if done well, is harmless. But it has been proved, also scientifically, that the dreadful effects are still present.
Many riders that abuse the horses like this go unpunished and more importantly, the horse is not liberated by the pain but with your help, we can do it!!
More complex version:
Rollkur is a hyperflection used on horses that causes all muscles, tendons and bones to be in constant stress. It is so, for the horse’s chin is pinned by the ruthless rider, to its chest, developing excessive muscle, putting extreme tension on the horse, physically and morally, slowly murdering it. The trachea is damaged by the intrusion of the oesophagus, which gets jammed inside it, transforming it from nearly circular at meeting point to oval shaped. The soft palate and the delicate nose cartilage are put under excessive pressure, putting the horse in agony and bending the bones. The lungs are also damaged, for the first rib is gradually brought forward to pierce the lungs, causing internal bleeding, thereby developing pulmonary oedema. The horse’s tongue may become blue from the pressure and excessive foaming at the mouth is present during Rollkur. To accomplish Rollkur the rider’s hands are kept greatly high. One of the early effects of Rollkur presents itself in the horses’ gaits, especially the trot. When victims of Rollkur, horses can only move their legs to a certain extent, and even then, the movement is altered and the whole weight of the body mass is on one limb for too long, causing grave problems with the horses leg. Stop Rollkur, it is a death sentence!
