Protect orangutans habitat

  • mottagare: Companies who wipe out rainforest to plant palm plantations which in turn kill's orangutan's

I hope people can understand that palm oil from these plantations, in Malaysia for example, are destroying the natural habitat of the orangutan. The destruction is leaving them to starve to death or to be captured and tortured by plantation workers. This is all so we can have a bar of chocolate!

As much as I love chocolate (& some of the other products made using palm oil) I love orangutans more. Companies do not need to do this! There is an alternative but they won't use it as it is a fraction more expensive. So greed is the motivation for the destruction of rain forest & a beautiful & harmless animal.
