By-election in constituencies where MP has resigned from the Labour Party

Seven MPs have just resigned from the Labour Party for various reasons.

Many people who voted them into Parliament still support the Labour Party and would not have voted for them if they weren't Labour candidates.

By resigning from the Party, these MPs no longer have a mandate to represent their constituency. They should immediately call a by-election to find out if they still have the support of the public, and to allow people the opportunity to vote to support the Labour Party's policies.

Sign now to demand a by-election in the constituencies of these MPs!

The MPs who have resigned are: Ann Coffey, the Member of Parliament for Stockport; Luciana Berger MP for Liverpool Wavertree; Mike Gapes, MP for Ilford South; Chris Leslie, MP for Nottingham East; Gavin Shuker, MP for Luton South; Angela Smith, MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge; Chuka Umunna, MP for Streatham.
