Save the Cow Palace

The Cow Palace should remain under its current financially successful management. The Cow Palace is a historic and community treasure, hosting the Grand National Rodeo, the Dickens Faire, the Dog Show, cheerleading organizations, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Facebook and SalesForce sponsored concerts and conventions, SFMTA driver training, the Academy of Art Commencement Ceremonies, and the Crossroads of the West Gun Show.

Without the Cow Palace venue, these events would have to be relocated hundreds or thousands of miles away.

The proposed CA SB281 would transfer management of the Cow Palace to a board of political appointees, who would happily use their power to secure this land for high-density housing developers who will then donate to the bills' authors, Senators Weiner and Hill, and Assemblymen Chiu, Ting, Berman, and Mullen.

The Cow Palace property was given to the people to use to exercise our First Amendment rights of free speech and free assembly. The property should remain legally available for citizens to exercise our Second Amendment rights.
