Keep the No Kill Shelter!

For five years the town of Windham has not issued a time limit for dogs at the local pound to be there. The time limit would entail the dog to be euthanized at the end. This does not mean that only the aggressive dogs are being put to sleep it would also mean that the little house dogs found on the streets that need to find their home or a new home, if not claimed would also die. However the animal control officers understand that not all dogs are adoptable due to illness or actual aggressiveness towards people. There have been a select group of dogs that would not be safe to place with a home and those dogs have been put to sleep, but the dogs that deserve to find homes regardless of their breed, should have the time to do so. The town gets many young sweet dogs that take sometimes a few months to place. These dogs would all be dead if they weren't given their chance.
