Legalize Gay Marriage!
Marriage is an expression of love. Why should only straight people be able to demonstrate their love through this expression? LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) people love just the same as straight people, meaning marriage laws should apply to them as well. The government can't control who loves whom, so why should they be able to control who marries whom? The Declaration of Independence states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal..." This equality does not apply solely to straight people. Everyone is equal, so equal rights are a necessity. Sign this petition to convince the government to legalize gay marriage in all states! It's time to step into the 21st century!
We, the undersigned, are requesting that marriage laws and rights apply to all people, regardless of their sexual orientation. It is unfair to only allow straight people to express their love through the sacred bond that is marriage. This kind of discrimination is as unjust and unfair as racism.
