STRONGER ANIMAL ABUSE LAWS IN SOUTH CAROLINA

To provide felony charges for all animal abuse, whether domestic pet or farm animal.  To change the state laws to allow cities and counties to impose felony charges for abuse.  To prohibit the sale of "any" animal at jockey lots, flea markets, roadside stands.  To prohibit free animals on Craigslist.  To let our lawmakers know that we will no longer turn a blind eye to abuse and that we expect anyone breaking these laws to be charged as a felony.  included in the definition of abuse, but not limited to, failure to provide shelter, food, clean water, medical attention, shade, chaining or tethering and that failure to comply is a felony.
