The subway rat is an integral part of New York society but it gets a bad rap sheet because we overlook so many of its amazing qualities!
The subway rat is a tenacious creature; it is ever-present, crafty, intelligent, bold, and resourceful. Not to mention it gets rid of other pests and track litter that could be the cause of a subway fire that delays YOUR train. All that it does, asking for naught in return, we can gather that it feels a little underappreciated. Let's show our [reluctant] gratitude for these piteous animals.
