DEMAND RENT CONTROL FOR EVERYONE

Nova Scotia needs to have rent control in place. How can anyone afford 75% plusof their paychecks or disability checks and survive.The Government caps their maximum rent at 30% tops. Its time government stepped in and put a cap of even 40% of a earners income for rent. This way we can all enjoy a place to call home and actually be able to afford it.Min wage in NS is 11.55 hour. For a month thats 1800 dollars minus taxes it may be 1400 a month. Most rents are 900 plus say 200 for hydro. Thats 1100. Add in food at 150 biweekly and total comes to 1400. That doesn't include entertainment,internet,clothes or furniture as your ass is broke. A cap on rent is the only way to survive all these greedy landlords. Lets tell the government we too needbyo have a life.
