INDUCT FRANK "PISTOL PETE" EATON INTO THE NATIONAL COWBOY HALL OF FAME

Many folks are familiar with "Pistol Pete", the cowboy mascot of Oklahoma State University and the caricature of the Old West gunfighter and lawman used by both New Mexico State University and the University of Wyoming.  Frank "Pistol Pete" Eaton, however, was a real Oklahoma lawman and gunfighter and author who lived in the period of time in American, known as the "Old West".  Many books and a BBC documentary have been written by and about "Pistol Pete".  It is said that the movie, "True Grit" (based on the book by Charles Portis) borrowed heavily from Frank's life and his go-to line, "Fill your hand, you son of a b****".

Although he has been honored on several occasions at the National Cowboy & Western Museum, Pistol Pete has not been formally inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners.

IT IS TIME TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THE LIFE AND LEGEND OF FRANK "PISTOL PETE" EATON.  PLEASE JOIN US BY SIGNING THIS PETITION.
