They Found a Litter of Dead Puppies In His Home. One Was Skinned.

The details of the following story are incredibly distressing.

When police got reports of a man in Anchorage doing something unthinkable to a litter of puppies, they rushed to the scene. Sure enough, there they witnessed multiple dead puppies.

The worst part: one of the puppies was skinned, its fur and skin ripped from its tiny body.

Allegedly, the man claimed that he hadn't killed the puppies, but that they had passed away from parvovirus -- a brutal virus that causes immense pain in dogs, along with fever, vomiting, dehydration, and very often, death. The man claimed that he couldn't afford to get the dogs to a vet, so he let these tiny puppies suffer from this sickness for who knows how long before they died.

Not being able to afford to care for an animal is a terrible position to be in -- but no veterinarian or shelter would have turned these puppies away had the man not been able to pay. So many systems of support exist for scenarios just like this -- money is no excuse for letting animals suffer this greatly.

So not only did this man let these puppies die, but he disturbingly skinned one of their little bodies. This is incredibly disturbing, and needs to be treated with the gravity it deserves.

One puppy out of the entire litter was alive when authorities arrived, but reports are saying it is in such bad shape that it will likely need to be euthanized.

All this needless, violent death cannot go unaddressed.

We need to ensure that this man does not get his hands on another dog or animal. Ever. Again.

Sign the petition to demand a lifetime ban on animal ownership as a part of this person's sentencing!
