Demand to protect locals from a dangerous dog

On Sunday late afternoon my mother and dog had decided to a walk in our local area. Suddenly a large and aggressive alaskan malamute grey and white in colour jumped his garden fence and latched onto my helpless dog causing 4 puncture wounds to his body and head, My disabled mother had shouted for help while trying to hit this dog off with her walking stick, while this was occurring his owner was unable to hear the incident proving he was not observing his dangerous dog, allowing him to attack.
This is not the first Incident regarding this dog. He has previously attacked a further 3 people along with their animals; this is what I know about.
This dog lives next to a primary school to which very young children roam around the area. They would be helpless against this aggressive and intimating bread if he decided to attack! The thought of this situation is utterly petrifying.
Something has to be done and this dog must be stopped.
I have Contacted the local authorities who are very much aware of this situation.
My poor and defenceless sharpei did not deserve this, he will know he scared for life along with physiological effects.
I am asking for All who feel as strong about these recurring incidents and I do to help put a stop to this dangerous dog.
