Gay Men and MSMs Pledge to Donate Blood when the FDA Lifts the Ban

Current FDA policy forbids men from donating blood if they have engaged in sexual activity with another man since 1977.

The American Red Cross and other blood banks agree that this policy is no longer medically or scientifically warranted and wants it to change. As do we at Outlook Media, inc.

Instead of boycotting blood drives, we as gay men and MSM (Men who have had sex with men), are pledging to donate once the dated and discriminatory policy of the Food and Drug and Administration is removed.

Signing this pledge will help give a verifiable and quantifiable amount of blood donations that the FDA is preventing.
