Tell Congress to Keep Trump From Going to War With Iran!

On June 12, 2025, the government of Israel launched a military campaign against Iran. The situation has quickly escalated; both countries have been exchanging airstrikes, putting the region and its civilians in grave danger.

Now, President Trump is rashly considering getting the United States involved -- risking the security, stability and economy of the U.S. and possibly escalating the conflict into having even broader global repercussions.

Sign the petition to tell Congress to keep the United States from getting involved in a war with Iran!

Israel asserts that its offensive was warranted based on claims that Iran is getting close to developing nuclear weapons. But according to U.S. intelligence, Iran's ability to build nuclear weapons is still years away and they are not even actively pursuing their development.

If that is true, this conflict is utterly needless.

The overwhelming majority of American voters -- 81% to be exact -- oppose Trump's aggressive approach to Iran.

41% of those polled want the United States to stay completely out of the conflict, while the other 40% think that involvement should be cautious and diplomatic.

But Trump couldn't care less. On June 17, 2025, he posted screenshots of his Truth Social account on X, broadcasting dangerous, foolish threats directed towards Iran. In one post, he openly boasted that he could choose to kill the country's Supreme Leader if he wanted to, and the words "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER" in another.

Trump's volatility on this issue should be deeply concerning. On Wednesday, June 18th, Trump told the press, "I have ideas on what to do but I haven't made a final -- I like to make the final decision one second before it's due" and "I may do it, I may not do it."

These are not the words of a thoughtful, strong leader -- they are the words of a petulant liability, intent on risking the safety of his own country and countries around the world just to prop up his own ego.

The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has stated that the U.S. getting its military involved would cause "irreparable damage" and could very well cause an "all-out war."

A bipartisan effort has been introduced in Congress which would prohibit military action against Iran unless explicitly approved by Congress -- basically stopping Trump from doing anything he wants without the necessary checks or balances. The fact that this bill is bipartisan speaks volumes; both Republicans and Democrats are worried about the harm Trump could do in getting the U.S. involved in a war with Iran.

We need Congress to stand strong and keep the executive branch in check from sending the country into a brutal war. This conflict between Israel and Iran is not the United States' fight, no matter how much the government of Israel insists it is.

Sign the petition and implore Congress to pass the recently introduced measure under the 1973 War Powers Resolution and keep the U.S. out of a war with Iran!
