Anti Horse Slaughtering

Horse slaughtering has been a fairly big problem since the early 1900’s. It is a completely inhumane and unacceptable way to get horse meat. The problem has been recognized many times before, but nothing has been done to completely stop it once and for all. That is why we created this petition. Statistics say that from 1989-1999 about 2,434,112 horses were killed over all which is about 243,500 per year. In only 2013 after slaughtering laws were passed, about 136,543 horses were killed, decreasing by almost 100,000.
