Save the Rainforest, Save the World.

The Earth's greatest biological treasures are being rapidly destroyed, just as scientists begin to understand and appreciate its value. Rainforests used to cover 14% of the world, and now they cover 6%. It is projected that the last remaining rainforests could be gone in less than 40 years.

According to reputable, reseached sites such as rain-tree.com,
more than half of Earth's estimated 10 million plant, animal and insect species live in rainforests. One-fifth of the world's fresh water is in the Amazon Basin alone.

Saving the rainforests is not an idealistic cause. It is logical both environmentally, and fiscally.

"
The latest statistics show that rainforest land converted to cattle operations yields the land owner $60 per acre and if timber is harvested, the land is worth $400 per acre. However, if these renewable and sustainable resources are harvested, the land will yield the land owner $2,400 per acre." -Rain-Tree.com

Sign to show the Brazilian government and other goverments that you care what they decide for the future of the rainforest habitiat.
