Canadian Government to send humanitarian aid to Ukraine

With the recent crisis in Donetsk airport and the bombing of innocent civilians we believe the Canadian government needs to do more to assist the Ukraine citizens in dealing with these issues. We are requesting humanitarian aid such as medical supplies, food and clothes to be sent to Donetsk and surrounding areas. This petition is requesting $1 million in these resources to be sent over immediately.

Statistics:

Roughly 5.2 million people live in conflict-affected areas and 1.4 million are considered "highly vulnerable and in need of assistance"

More than a million people have fled their homes with 633,523 living as displaced persons within Ukraine and 593,622 living outside Ukraine, mostly in Russia

More than 4,800 people have been killed in the fighting and at least 10,322 have been injured, including at least 102 children
