Hold Supermarkets Accountable To Help The Elderly & Vulnerable Who Lack Internet Knowledge & Access

Many elderly, sick and vulnerable people do not have access to, or know how to use the internet. Sadly, this is the only way that one can order essential shopping from a supermarket. Telephone requests are turned down as not acceptable.
Because the supermarkets have forced many of the smaller, local shops out of business, there are a number of elderly and vulnerable people who cannot get their own shopping. Many of those people also lack access to carers, or family and friends, who could shop for them.
The problem is greatly exacerbated in rural areas and many elderly people are finding themselves cut off from every day supplies. Supermarkets need to take responsibility by addressing this issue and start taking telephone orders.
