Who needs pennies?

How many people have dozens of pennies they don't use? It's because pennies don't matter much anymore. You can't buy anything with a penny now. It couldn't keep up with inflation. We need to stop making and using pennies.
Making pennies isn't a good use of America's money. In 2011, it cost 2.4 cents to make the one cent coin. We are losing $70,000,000 a year making pennies. Whether liberal, conservative, or somewhere in between, we can all agree that we need all of the money we can get.
Now I know what you are going to say. What if the economy collapses without the penny? In 1857, we stopped using the half cent. There haven't been many problems since. They already banned pennies in international military bases. Other countries like Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Israel, Mexico, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sweden, and the United Kingdom have each eliminated the country’s lowest currency coin.
