Repeal the Hughs amendment and ban slide fire stocks

Everyone says compromise on gun control & neither side budges. This is a give & take idea that both sides should be able to agree on.

The Hughes amendment completely ban new Machine guns from being obtained by a citizen. The slide fire stock was invented purely because there is no affordable way to own a select fire weapon for the average person. There are limited transferable Machine guns & they start at several thousands of dollars.

My proposal is to repeal the Hughes amendment while leaving the taxes, applications & background checks in place, simple remove the ban on new ones.

In return, ban the slide fire stock & any future mechanism that makes a semi automatic gun able to function like a select fire weapon.
