Demand WA Gov. Ferguson fund the Kent PICC unit for drug exposed newborns.

  • mottagare: Washington state voters, and gov. Ferguson

The WA state legislature slashed their previous funding from $700,000 to just $100,000 for next two years for the Kent PICC unit. But! Bob Ferguson then used his special partial veto power, to deny them the all financing, and deny the community this necessary lifeline. All NICC units in hospitals in the local area are already overcrowded Now, Kent's PICC has lost their contract with Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). due to inability to currently adhere to the contract financial requirements. Which means the state will no longer place the newborns in protected custody, with the KPICC. This cannot be allowed to stand. Call the governor's office now, and call your legislator's and of course, sign this petion
