Start a federal law on farm animal cruelty

When proper research is found on how farm animals are being treated in the food industry, it is shocking and absolutely sick and cruel. An example, calves are ripped away from their mother just minutes after birth and spend hours trapped in crates, crying for each other. Another where animals are still alive when they are thrown through a grinder or throats are cut and hung on a rack to struggle to the end. Unfortunately the stories just go on and on about what these companies are willing to do, the insensitivity of the workers, all because the food industry get the big bucks.
There is a crucial need for solid laws, FEDERAL LAWS, to be put into place for the unspoken animals who suffer. To emphasize that these methods for obtaining meat and dairy are inhumane and unethical. Going vegan is such a small step in the right direction, but we need our government to step up and stop letting these big Industries treat animals like they are something even less than animals: just a product.
Please just take a moment and let your voice be part of a hopeful change in this nation. Thank you!
