Laws against sexual predators aren't tough enough !

I have read and re-read too many articles and have watched disturbing news about people preying on children and minors and young females and kidnapping and sexually assaulting them. I just read an article about a Florida man who kidnapped and raped a little girl and he only received 40 years as a sentence. Laws against these types of crimes against young people both male and female are far too lenient. We need to expand the severity of these laws for such hideous crimes.
