Tonga: STOP KILLING SEA TURTLES

Walking at the harbour I got shocked to see between the various catches of a fisherman a turtle.
An adult Hawksbill sea turtle.
It was up side down and apparently dead.
I touched it and it started moving.
The fisherman wanted 100 dollars for it.
Other 2 tourist and me bargain for 80.
He gave it to us and we release it out after the reef.

Hawksbill sea turtles are classified for the WWF as a critically endangered specie. They need more than 20 years to reach sexual maturity.
Tonga might not be the richest of countries but it's definitely not amongst the poorest.
These waters are plenty of fish, lobsters and octopus to feed on, please let's keep sea turtles present on this planet for our kids to witness their beauty.

Tonga is a small country and a kingdom.
I'm making this petition in the hope that enough people will sign it to present it to the King.

Thank you for signing!
