A recent viral video shows staff at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus (UMMC) escorting an incapacitated women out of the hospital, leaving her at a bus stop in 30-degree weather wearing nothing but a hospital gown.

Please sign this petition demanding that the hospital changes its policy to ensure something like this never happens again.

In the video, the woman can be seen with a large wound on her forehead. She grunts and shouts, at one point saying, "Please help me." The man who filmed the video can be heard questioning the staff's decision to leave her out in the cold. They tell him that she was medically cleared, but that's not an excuse.

According to its website, UMMC's vision is to provide "high-value and compassionate care," but there was nothing compassionate about leaving this woman out in freezing temperatures wearing next to nothing.

UMMC must do better. Please sign this petition urging University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus to create a policy that ensures patients are provided with adequate clothing upon discharge.
