End the U.S. Postal Service monopoly

Bad experience at the post office? USPS lost your package? Join the club.

Laws originating in the nineteenth century make it illegal for anyone else to deliver letters. This government-granted monopoly has resulted in an inefficient postal system which does a poor job serving the needs of consumers. By allowing other firms to deliver mail, every American will have the freedom to choose whether or not they want to continue dealing with the United States Postal Service. The USPS will have to provide a better service to Americans, or will lose its customers to firms which do a better job delivering mail.
