Lights Off! A plea for darkness.

The issue? Visual comfort.

During the filming of blockbuster hit "SOC-101: A Case Study", the lights were temporary turned off. This created a physical solace of sorts--a place where the world was seemingly shut down around us. It provided a perfect atmosphere to engage deeply in our work, albeit only for a mere couple of minutes.

This proposal is straightforward: Turn out the lights! We the people (me, maybe Amy), are calling for a day of turning off one of the sets of overhead lights in our humble office-space.

This would occur next week, students will be long gone, and instructors likely catching up on all of their procrastinated online-gaming and pinterest-scrolling. This implementation's sole impact would be putting us in a position to create some of your best work.

Please, think of the electricity bill. Join us, and turn off the lights.
