Save Texas Monuments And Memorials

Citizens of Texas! Our monuments and memorials in Texas to Confederate War heroes are being removed. Under an Act Of Congress in 1958, Confederate soldiers were made US veterans with honors, burial and pensions. To remove them is blatant bigotry toward Southern history and veterans in general. Aside from this, heroes of Texas history, such as Sam Houston, are now coming under fire and a demand for their removal as well. We need the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, to enact a bill to save our monuments, memorials and history. This must be taken out of the hands of cities that cave in to pressure and aid in the removal of our past.
