Stop police officers from shooting dogs that are only protecting their property

Rick Clubb in Filer, Idaho had his dog killed by an officer, because the officer felt the dog was being aggressive when he was called to Rick's house by neighbors for his dogs running loose. The video shows the dogs barking and running around. When the officer approached the house, the dogs started barking and trying to back the officer up to get him away from the property. He pointed his gun at one of the dogs and fired. He should have taken other precautions when he knew there would be dogs loose. He took it upon himself to shoot the dog and kill it. If you love animals than stand up for them. There was a dog killed by a police officer only because he felt threatened. The dog was only protecting his property. The officer could have gotten back in his patrol car and called animal control or called the owner on his PA system to get him to take control of his dogs. There needs to be a revision of training for these officers to deal with dogs that are loose. We need officers to be held accountable for their actions, just like our own.
