Vermont- Oppose New Law with Misinformation about Cats

A new House Bill, (H.B. 372) contains misinformation about cats and the decline of the wild bird population. While claiming to be an education campaign- it ignores many other factors leading to a decine birds, such as; climate change, habitat destruction, deforestation, wind turbines, hunting, plane strikes, and outright poisoning  and use of deadly chemicals, both by the Fish and Wildlife Service, and by the United States Department of Agriculture- READ MORE: http://www.naturalnews.com/031076_USDA_bird_deaths.html

Also, nowhere is it mentioned about a complete study about how Genetically Modified Crops effect birds- and there should be since birds eat seeds.

There is no doubt that reponsible pet owners should keep their feline friends indoors, but some are feral, and need the help of communities to keep them form being put to death.

Feral cats and birds have existed for thousands of years without any population declines. Feral cats provide rodent control- a real benefit to humans. If you resort to rat poisions for rodents, you will surely also poison more birds. Be honest about the human activities leading to the decline and OPPOSE this bill, HB 372.
