Time to make a BCR about drug traffickers in Sandy Lake

We are aware of the level of drug addiction and drug trafficking in the community. Drug abuse not only affects the person who is addicted but also their loved ones especially their children. Children require and deserve the best care by their parents as they are defenseless and vulnerable. We demand action by the Sandy Lake Chief and Council on behalf of ourselves and our loved ones, especially children. We ask the Sandy Lake Chief and Council to make a bylaw through Band Council Resolution (BCR) to take effect immediately. This BCR will make it punishable for any person who is selling drugs to be barred from the community of Sandy Lake for a set period of time. We are tired of losing our loved ones to daily drug abuse and to death. We want a healthy and wholesome environment in our community, especially for the children.
