Demand a start to a Menstrual Leave Policy, Now!

The menstruating population demands a menstrual leave policy to be implemented into the workplace. Women are dealing with pain, nausea, body aches and even certain mental changes while attempting to complete work tasks. Yes, it is as torturous as it sounds. According to a survey from YouGov, in August of 2017, 42 percent of women out of the 2,255 surveyed, said their menstrual pain has affected their jobs to some degree. Adopting this policy allows women to deal with the setback of menstrual cycles while not having to deliver in the workplace. It's hard to function in an environment where you are expected to perform extensive, strenuous physical labor all while being attentive to details on the job. Menstrual cycles bring on roller coaster emotions, excessive flow, short term mental changes, and in some cases nausea and vomiting. We are proposing that a paid two day leave of absence be granted. The proposal will cover the employee, who has had a documented complaint, examination, and diagnosis of the above symptoms. By granting this proposal we feel that coworkers would benefit from this as well.
