Stop the Slaughter of Alaskan Brown Bears

"An isolated island off the coast of Alaska is home to a unique species of bear, known as the Kenai brown bear. This special community of bears is small and therefore highly sensitive to hunting. Last year alone, 18 percent of the adult female bears were killed by hunters, a staggering number for such a vulnerable population.

The state of Alaska has made it clear it would like a drastic reduction in the bears' population in order to increase moose numbers for the benefit of human hunters. This policy is shockingly ignorant and destructive and must be stopped. We must save the remaining Kenai brown bears from Alaska's hunters."
