Let's end the annual Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day football game

The Detroit Lions have played a football game on Thanksgiving Day for several decades. I've noticed that over the years, the city of Detroit is cheated out of a true Thanksgiving holiday, due to family members attending this game, and other family members glued to the TV while the game is on. This forces hosts to wait until their family members to return from the game, and those family members are usually too tired to socialize, and sometimes in a bad mood due to the Lions losing the game. This also takes attention away from guests that choose to just sit and watch this game, when they could be enjoying their families. This causes a division between family members that DO attend the game and DON'T attend the game, and those that like football and the Detroit Lions, and those that do not care for the hopeless and laughable Detroit Lions. The Detroit Lions are the worst professional sports franchise of ALL sports, and it's also a bad team to show on TV nationally across the country. I bet some other cities would like to have a turn hosting the early game on Thanksgiving, and this country deserves to see some other teams. I'm also sure that at least half the population of Detroit would like a chance at a normal Thanksgiving holiday. I want the Detroit Lions to not own the monopoly of the early Thanksgiving Day NFL game every year.
