Stop Arresting and Fining People for Feeding the Homeless

Fort Lauderdale recently passed city ordinance that prohibits the sharing of food which will lead fines and possible jail time unless at specific, government designated facilities. Feeding the homeless in public is now completely illegal under the city ordinances. This law is completely illegal and unconstitutional and violates the Florida Religious Freedom Restoration Act. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_amendments_to_the_United_States_Constitution

Dear Mayor Seiler,

We are asking for an over ruling in the city ordinance that prohibits the sharing of food which will lead fines and possible jail time unless at specific, government designated facilities. Feeding the homeless in public is now completely illegal under the city ordinances. This law is completely illegal and unconstitutional and violates the Florida Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
