Demand Sochi 2014 Sponsors Condemn Russia's Anti-Gay Attacks

Russia is waging a war on its LGBT and minority populations, with LGBTs being beaten, raped, persecuted, and imprisoned. Every day we see new horror stories, and more lives lost. It is time we take a stand!

Yet the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is refusing to engage on this issue despite the fact that the Russian city of Sochi is to be the host of the 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The IOC maintains it is not a political organization, but allowing Russia to host the games despite these atrocities is by virtue a political act, while silence amounts to little more than permission to allow this violence to continue.

For this reason, we the undersigned ask the sponsors of Sochi 2014, which include but are not limited to:

Coca Cola, Dow, GE, McDonald's, Omega, Panasonic, P&G, Samsung, Visa, and Yamaha

to speak out where the IOC's courage has failed and not just condemn Russia's anti-gay laws but use their influence to force change--this for the sake of Russia's LGBT citizens who, every day, face a worsening hell.
