Tell Doctors Without Borders to stop harming children

Although Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres does wonderful work across the globe to attend to the medical needs of the less fortunate, they supply malnourished children with "Ready-to-use therapeutic food" (RUTF F-100 formula) that contains cow milk and whey (cow milk protein). More than 60% of people from African and Asian decent are lactose intolerant and cannot process cows milk, thus causing inflammation and digestion related harms.
Although it may look good in theory this practice is harmful and Doctors should know better. Doctors Without Borders needs to update their practices with data from current literature which shows that cows milk is not beneficial and that calcium and protein are better obtained from plant-based sources. The RUTF F-100 formula needs to be changed to remove animal products from their makeup in order to better serve the populations they seek to treat.
