Help stop Social Security from going broke

Social Security is slowly going broke and there are numerous people who depend on receiving it.One way to ensure that Social Security stays open is to make the administration stop giving out enormous sums of back pay. We know people who have received $25, 000 or more in back pay. I believe that this is outrageous. Why not give each payee half of the amount due. The person would still get a back pay check only less than what was expected. I received a check for $1200 in back pay and I was very happy to get it but it pales in comparison to what social Security is shelling out these days. The jobs I had were just as strenous and just as important as the ones some of these individuals had ; albeit some people had posh positions and it didn't seem quite fair that they came away with more.  I'm not saying to quit giving out back pay. I am saying to cut it in half. Thank You.
