Congress Needs to Help Make College Education More Affordable

In the modern workforce, a college education is almost required in order to achieve any sort of economic stability. Unfortunately, many students are being priced out of a college education. Even community colleges, generally cost a couple thousand in tuition per year. Furthmore, in some private colleges, tuition alone may set a student back 50,000 per year.

We are losing an entire generation of potential high skilled workers. We aren't losing them because we don't have people who could succeed academically. We are losing them because of the cost of education.

We should focus on lowering the cost of college education. We should increase government grants, such as the Pell Grant, and so forth. Also, Congress should take a second look at Elizabeth Warren's student loan bill.
