Demand compulsory nursing assistance for all Dental clinicians

Lack of nursing support for dental hygienists and dental therapists is putting patients and DCPs in the UK at risk.

To maintain excellent cross infection control, fully completed dental records and assistance for medical emergencies then it is of paramount importance that dental professionals are fully supported.

Dental professionals who currently work without nursing assistance are putting their health at risk as well as the safety of the patients. Many professionals are choosing to leave the profession due to lack of support resulting in numerous health issues including depression.

Our dental defence unions will not support us without nursing support, the General dental council will not support us without nursing support but until it becomes compulsory, we will not be provided with the appropriate support we need and deserve.
