Minimum Wage Increase Desperately Needed In PA!

The minimum wage in Pennsylvania has been sitting stagnant at $7.25 for years. Amidst all the talk of raising federal minimum wage, only 10 states are currently set to raise their minimum wage over the next two years. $7.25 an hour is not a "liveable" wage.

Too many families in Pa are dependant upon food stamps and other government assistance to compensate for their terrible wages. The people working for these meager wages are not just "burger flipping teenagers." Many are adult students in college, elderly people, mothers, fathers, and single parents trying to support their children. Please sign this petition, so that everyone in Pennsylvania's working class might have a fair chance at life; and not just surviving week to week.

We, the undersigned, urge you to create a plan of action to raise the Minimum Wage in Pennsylvania from $7.25 an hour to $10.10 an hour over a period of two years. $10.10 an hour is still considered lower than "living wage" in the state of Pennsylvania when considering cost of living.
