Stop buying turtles of illegal trafics !

The illegal business of pets as well as the local culinary preferences threaten several sorts of turtles of Madagascar. Wildlife Conservation Society reminded the urgency of the situation.

The turtles of Madagascar are more and more dedicated to the extinction, threatened by the illegal business of pets and by the local taste for testudinides, according to the statements of the Society of Protection of the fauna and the flora, Wildlife Conservation Society.

In France, the customs officers of Bordeaux made on August 18th a seizure of 20 alive "Greek" turtles, a protected sort because threatened by extinction, in a small van from Morocco, announced on Monday customs.
 
I saw today in a documentary called "30 Millions d'amis", "30 Million friends" in French, that in Morocco, many tourists are trapped in this illegal trafic of turtles. Those who are not bought are simply thrown to the garbage can. Is this step terrible?
