With the guilty plea of President Trump's long-time lawyer/fixer Michael Cohen and the conviction of former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, both on eight felony counts, the number of convictions in Special Counsel Mueller's investigation is now seven.
In the words of Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), "The White House looks increasingly like a criminal enterprise." And yet, Republicans in both the White House and Congress would like to proceed as if all was normal. This is unacceptable.

Increasingly, it appears that the President of the United States and his cohort broke the law in order to, among other things, win office. Already, this has cast a dark cloud over America's reputation, our executive branch, and the legislators who continue to aid and abet in Trump's seemingly corrupt enterprise. To allow this president to reshape the courts at a time of such national ill repute would be to drag down America's last standing pillar of justice with them.
Our nation cannot afford to go down this dangerous road of institutional illegitimacy.
