Make it illegal to run puppy mills and to use animals in laboratories for any reason.

Puppy mills should have long ago been illegal. The poor females  giving birth every chance the owner can get her pregnanth and then to inbreed causing ill animals going to people who want a puppy. Also using animals in laboratory experiments is inhuman to say the least! We do not need this going on, they need to find another way to make products safe or just don't make them.  You can email your state representatives (house or senate) for help getting a bill initiated and hopefully passed.
