Is the picture worth the animals life?

Commonly seen in big cities or at theme parks, one is presented the opportunity to hold or take pictures with lions, tigers or other exotic animals. People often take part in this and show off the photos on social media, but do they really know what they are supporting? Animals used in this industry are often chained down and whipped until they have absolutely no reaction, they are drugged into a dead weight state so you can hold them. They are kept in cages barely bigger than their own body size and treated like garbage, even being thrown around. This horrific treatment of animals needs to end, and it needs to carry a much heavier criminal consequence.
