President Obama: We need affordable dental care!

Infections, decay, bacteria, all of which affect the rest of our health. Some, no matter how well they take care of their teeth, cannot afford to go to a dentist for proper dental care, thus it only gets worse. It can even lead to a coma if bad enough.

Over half of the illnesses that people suffer from are caused over dental problems. Infections can even lead to comas. While we are being forced to get some sort of health insurance, why is there no affordable dental plans for the people who cannot afford it? Most health departments do not even provide dental care, and that leaves alot of people without any help whatsoever. Not many can afford $100 to pull a tooth, which is the cheapest compared to a root canal, which is more favorable than losing a tooth. A program needs to be put into place for people for dental care, AFFORDABLE dental care, or based on income. All of the dental insurance available is expensive and has expensive copays as well. If oral care was made a priority, then there would be a drastic drop in the need for medical care.

It is a very serious issue that no one is doing anything about. Someone needs to step up and get the wheels of change moving. The doctors and pharmacies are making money at the expense of our health when so much of it is because of oral care.  Please President Obama, enforce some sort of affordable, if not free health care!!
