End 'red cards' for punishing homelessness

Liverpool City Council and Merseyside Police are criminalizing homelessness by issuing 'red cards' to people on the streets whilst doing nothing to actually address the problem of homelessness. This follows a pattern of 'hostile architecture' such as spikes outside flats and shops, 'poor doors' for social tenants, and fines for being on the streets attempted in other places.

Claims that being on the streets is 'anti-social' have nothing to do with the brutal reality of those ending up there or giving them somewhere to live and is simply an attempt to socially cleanse those hardest hit by the housing crisis from sight: this callous and stupid policy must be dropped as soon as possible.
