Despite laws mandating that shoe production giant Yue Yuen buy social security and insurance coverage for its workers in China, the company has instead pocketed the money and stiffed its laborers. Now, about 30,000 employess of the company have gone on strike asking for the company to live up to its pledge to provide these benefits.

We ask the shoe brands that rely on Yue Yuen's manufacturing to cut their ties with the company until it provides the benefits it is legally obligated to purchase for its workers. Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Reebok, Timberland, and Asics: stand up and demand accountability for the factory labor you profit from.
