If Mitch McConnell Can't Do the Job, He Must Resign

It has been more than six weeks since Mitch McConnell was hospitalized—and he still hasn't appeared or spoken publicly.

Instead, his office has released a pair of awkward "proof-of-life" photos, including one of him holding a newspaper like a hostage trying to prove the date.

What the hell is going on?

McConnell has missed 38 Senate votes and Kentucky has effectively been left with only one working senator.

Add your name:  If Mitch McConnell Can't Do the Job, He Must Resign

Look, we're not monsters. We sincerely hope McConnell recovers. But a Senate seat belongs to the people—not the politician occupying it.

If McConnell can return to work promptly, he should appear publicly and say when. If he can't do the job, he must resign.

Add your name and tell Mitch McConnell: Kentucky deserves two working senators. If you can't serve, step aside.
