Asylum applications at embassies and consulates only

Illegal entrants are allowed to apply for asylum after being detained in the US, preventing swift resolution to their detainment situation. This increases the stress on their families, the judicial system, and on CBP. I propose that asylum requests be only considered at US Embassies and Consulates of their Country of Origin. This would lessen stress on facilities housing detainees pending resolution of their cases and would negate the issue of family detention.
